The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international organization of men and women seeking spiritual growth and friendship through person-to-person service to the needy and suffering. When a person asks our parish for financial assistance, we are the response. Our members help the poor of Clarksville with household bills, clothing, food, transportation, and other needs. We return calls left on our help line, problem-solve to help people through a tough spot and back to financial stability, and sometimes make home visits to connect, assess, and uplift. We connect uninsured Neighbors with a free pharmacy. We send volunteers to read to children at Lincoln Homes Head Start program. Most important, we pray for our Neighbors in need. We see Christ in them. We are an active and joy-filled way to live your Catholic faith and grow spiritually among friends.
If you are interested in becoming a member or learning more about our organization, please join us the first and third Fridays from 11:30am - 12:30pm downstairs in the St. Joseph Center, Room 10. If you work or can’t attend meetings at that time, you can still be involved: SVdP is a fulfilling ministry in which you can volunteer and participate on your own time.
We rely completely on the loving donations of parishioners to assist the poor in our community. Donations are made through the yellow envelopes in the monthly parish donation envelopes, and checks written to Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
