Sacraments

Baptism
Parents wishing to have a child less than seven years of age baptized are required to attend a Baptism Preparation Class prior to the child’s Baptism and must be registered members of the parish. English speaking classes are normally held the last Monday of each month (except December) in Room 10 of the St. Joseph’s Center from 6:30—9:30 p.m. Spanish speaking classes are normally held on the 4th Tuesday of every month. Godparents are also required to attend these classes. Baptisms are celebrated every Sunday of the month except during Lent. Please call the Church Office to register for a class, schedule a Baptism, for additional information, or to discuss the Baptism of children over seven years old.

Anointing of the Sick
If you or a loved one are anticipating a planned stay in the hospital or health care facility, please notify the parish office if you wish to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. HIPPA regulations no longer allow us to get names of the sick at hospitals or nursing homes. A hospital or health care institute must have you listed in their records as a Catholic to receive this sacrament in their facility. The sacrament of the sick can be given to anyone who is seriously ill, aged, or infirm. Please call the parish office to arrange for reception of this sacrament outside of the hospital.

Holy Orders
Anyone interested in the priesthood, diaconate, or religious life is asked to speak with Fr. Gaffny or any other clergyman. They are also available to discuss vocations to religious life as a brother or sister.
